We’re pleased to share with you our chosen charity for 2024. Throughout 2024, we will be supporting Ataxia UK.
‘Ataxia’ is an umbrella term for a group of neurological disorders that affect balance, coordination, and speech. It’s important for us to raise money for Ataxia UK so they are able to continue to fund research to find treatments and support individuals with their diagnosis.
Throughout the year, members of the AJ team will be taking on different challenges in order to raise money for the charity.
Case Manager, Gemma Sheen, nominated Ataxia UK as AJ’s charity of the year for 2024. Due to having Ataxia herself, Gemma is unable to complete the same fundraising challenges as her colleagues and decided to complete a virtual challenge instead.
Gemma and Case Manager Chrisanna Gibbs are virtually ascending the highest peaks in Northern Ireland, Scotland, England and Wales by climbing 1,566 staircases over 24 weeks.
